Solange Tuyishime- 4th Runner-Up

1.If you were famous what would your stage name be?
To be present and truly be happy in the moment. As a mother of three incredible young girls, I am inspired to make the best of each day so that they can experience life through a positive lense. In our daughter’s short time on earth, my husband and I were once again reminded how life is an immense gift and if we are blessed to live another day then we should make every moment count.

2.If you would attend a celebrity wedding which, would it be?
As a UNICEF Canada Ambassador, I think about children facing unfortunate circumstances or living in the world’s toughest environments. Amongst them are 262 million children and youth without access to education. If we are faithfully seeking to build a peaceful world of thriving communities and economic growth, we need the contribution of everyone; and it starts with giving every child access to gain the knowledge, skills and opportunities necessary to create a brighter future.

3.What is the weirdest gift you’ve ever received?
There is nothing more magical than sitting on a mountaintop with young girls in South Africa, hearing their dreams and learning about the culture, community and the experiences that are shaping them into the incredible women they are becoming. From Canada to Geneva, South Africa, Jamaica, Haiti, and Zimbabwe, I am fortunate to meet brave girls globally and I am honored to be amongst the leaders contributing to make this world better for every girl.

4.What is the most random fact you know?
I once read a quote that said: “You are not required to set yourself on fire to keep others warm”. At my age, I understand that self-care is power. My day starts with a 5am workout. I also invest in my personal development and spiritual growth. As a wife, mother, leader, philanthropist, etc..., I believe that nurturing ourselves is important in order to better take care of our families, advance professionally and build our communities.
